Dear Visitor,

On behalf of the International Public Management Network I would like to personally welcome you to our website.

IPMN is a non-profit network started in 1996 by a small group of public management scholars from different countries who firmly believed in the necessity of promoting public management debate among academics and practitioners following an international and interdisciplinary approach.

To achieve this important aim we decided to avoid a traditional bureaucratic organization and rather created an international internet-based network which is open to any valuable contribution and is completely free.

Since then the IMPN has grown progressively; there are now IPMN members on every continent and IPMN has gained, by means of its intense and varied activities, a leading role in the global debate on public management reforms.

By exploring our website you will discover that we manage two Journals (a traditional Journal, IPMJ and an online-only journal with free access, IPMR), we organize conferences and workshops, we acknowledge prizes, and we have a very active list server.

I am confident you will find, as many have, the IPMN website’s sections full of interesting information and resources for your research and/or professional public management practice.

In 2014 I proudly became the new President of IPMN. Like my predecessors, I will do my best to develop IPMN knowing that I can count on the help and enthusiasm of our core group of IPMN members and of all those like yourself who are interested in public management.

I look forward to seeing you as a new IPMN member.

Dr. Clay Wescott

President of IPMN
